Volunteer/Intern at FCDE's Headquarters

The following internship opportunities are in our Sun Valley/Ketchum office. These positions provide interns with experience working in a focused international development nonprofit. FCDE is looking for directed individuals who are able to work independently and support the growth of our organization through a wide variety of projects. Each internship is considered equivalent in expectations to a paid position and applicants are asked to commit to this expectation. Evaluation of the position will be provided at a mid-point and at the end of the internship.

Please note that the positions meet most student loan criteria for loan deferral. Interns are given first consideration for paid positions with FCDE in Ketchum and abroad. FCDE internships meet the criteria for most Universities offering work/internship credit. Internships with FCDE are unpaid.

• Graphic Design & Marketing: The Graphic Design Marketing Intern will work under the guidance of the Executive Director and in collaboration with other organizational interns to develop materials, carry out FCDE's promotion/awareness building campaigns and build organizational components for FCDE. These projects are geared toward creating initial operational and organizational materials for an international community development non-profit in its start up phase. FCDE’s volunteer and internship programs are open to students, young professionals, and experienced professionals. The intended result of this internship’s efforts is to ensure that all organizational components (financial, website, operational manuals, donor database, promotional materials, etc.) are established and ready for when the organization initiates service delivery (tentatively scheduled for mid to late 2012). • Office Support: The Office Support intern/volunteer will work under the guidance of the Executive Director and in collaboration with other organizational interns to develop office systems and office support standards, research and develop communications and materials management systems and build organizational support capacity for FCDE. These projects are geared toward creating initial operational and organizational materials for an international community development non-profit in its start up phase. FCDE’s volunteer and internship programs are open to students, young professionals, and experienced professionals. The intended result of this internship’s efforts is to ensure that all organizational components (financial, website, operational manuals, donor database, promotional materials, etc.) are established and ready for when the organization initiates service delivery (tentatively scheduled for mid to late 2012). • International Programs: The International Programs intern will work under the guidance of the Executive Director and in collaboration with other organizational interns to develop program manuals and guidance, research international development funding opportunities, research and write on current development issues and help carry out FCDE's promotion/awareness building campaigns for FCDE. These projects are geared toward creating initial operational and organizational materials for an international community development non-profit in its start up phase. FCDE’s volunteer and internship programs are open to students, young professionals, and experienced professionals. FCDE will be hosting three summer interns in 2012. Applications for these positions will be accepted starting February 21st. The summer internships include Graphic Design, Social Marketing and International Programs.
